SARM Liability Self-Insurance Plan

Municipalities may be held liable for substantial amounts of money for injury or property damage claims of others, resulting from accidents occurring on their property, or for which they are responsible. This plan provides comprehensive general liability insurance and errors and omissions coverage to participating member municipalities. SARM started the plan in 1987 to address rising insurance costs faced by its members.  

There are 274 rural municipalities out of 296 participating in this plan.
