Doug is currently the Reeve of the RM of Gull Lake No. 139 and was elected to the SARM Board as Director of Division 3 in March of 2004.
Doug and his wife, Phyllis, operate a mixed cattle and grains farm and reside on the family homestead. Doug and Phyllis have three children: Nicole, a teacher in Regina, Burton, who working in the oilfield industry, and Brittany, studying to be a registered nurse.
Doug was involved in the grain industry for many years and has extensive knowledge in this area. He has several years of experience with agricultural concerns at both a local and international level.
Currently, Doug is involved with Enterprise Saskatchewan at a local and provincial level. He has served on various committees and continues to work diligently, representing SARM on many committees.
