Norman is currently a Councillor of Division 1 in the RM of Lake of the Rivers No. 72.
Norman got active on RM of Lake of the Rivers No. 72 council in 2006 after being elected in Division 1. He and his wife of 20 years, Linda, farm and ranch on the family homestead established in 1907, where they raise organic crops and Angus cattle. Norm also raised buffalo for eleven years and was active in a Bison Feeder Co-op.
Norman has served on local Economic Development Associations, Museum Boards, Feedlot Associations, South Central Municipal Association and most recently has served two years as a Director Division 2 for APAS, as well as the chair of Livestock Committee for APAS.
Norman looks forward to working with the SARM Board and RMs in Division 2 to promote rural economic development, doctor recruitment and retention, environmental issues, as well as road and bridge upgrades and maintenance.
